WATERWORKS SPECIALTIES TO OPEN BRANCH IN CAPE GIRARDEAU 

779 Enterprise, Cape Girardeau, Missouri

A Bonne Terre based equipment supplier, Waterwork Specialties, Inc.  will open a showroom, office and warehouse facility in Cape Girardeau.  Tom Kelsey, commercial broker with Lorimont Place, Ltd., who handled the real estate sale, confirmed that the distributor has purchased a building at 779 Enterprise and is already preparing it for an opening in the very near future.

The company is an authorized distributor of water and sewer products for both contractors and municipalities throughout the region.  Products include water and sewer pipe, valves, hydrants, fittings and castings, meters, meter tiles and accessories, backflow preventers and regulators, PVC fittings and complete accessories.  The business also provides consulting engineering services and inspection services to their customers.

Kelsey said the facility purchased is located on the corner of Industrial Drive and Enterprise right off South Kingshighway.  The property was formerly owned by Keith Cotner with Cotner K Electric and consists of a 5,200 square-foot building complete with showroom, offices and a large warehouse area.  He understood the new buyer would utilize much of the outside property for pipe storage.

Waterwork Specialties is owned by Daniel Degonia with their home office in Bonne Terre and an additional branch office in Springfield, Missouri.  The company has been doing business with customers in this area for many years and having a local office and source of supply will enable them to provide better service for them.  The company expected the new facility to open within a few weeks.
