SCOTT CITY H & R BLOCK TO RELOCATE

H & R Block will nearly double their office size in Scott City.  The national tax preparation company will move into new office space at 2110 Main Street in Scott City according to Tom Kelsey, commercial broker with Lorimont Place, Ltd. who handled the lease transaction. 

Kelsey said H & R Block has been located in the Scott City Plaza for several years and had just finalized a lease for a 1,845 square foot office space in the center.  The new location is just next door to their former location and was previously occupied by Hunt’s Brothers Pizza. 

The owner of the shopping plaza, Rhodes Real Estate Partners will completely remodel the space to accommodate the expanded tax office.  Charles Riggs from Kennett is the owner of the local franchise and expects to be completely moved into their new quarters by the end of July, well in advance of the upcoming tax season. 

H & R Block operates over 14,000 offices throughout the world and is involved in tax preparation, business services and consumer financial operations.  The larger offices in Scott City will allow the local operation to expand its client base and consumer services.  H & R Block has had an office in Scott City since the 1970’s
