SIX THIRTY INDUSTRIAL PARK SALE
March 13, 1998
Five acres of industrial land was recently
sold in the Six Thirty Corporate and Industrial Park, according
to Tom Kelsey, Broker for Lorimont Place, Ltd. who handled the
transaction.
The tract located on Corporate Circle is
adjacent and north of the Dana Plant. Purchaser was Santie
Wholesale Oil Company. Bruce Barnes, President of the Sikeston
based company said they had no immediate plans for building
construction, but were considering several ideas for the new
site.
This is the second acquisition for the
company in the Industrial Park. They have plans to build a new
warehouse and commercial fueling facility on the 4-acre tract at
Southern Expressway and Corporate Circle that was acquired in
1996. The company handles wholesale oil products, lubricants,
chemicals, propane and fuel.
Six Thirty, Inc. is owned by Earl Norman
and Ernie Beussink. Kelsey, who handles most of the real estate
brokerage for the company said the Park was developed in the
late 1980’s and is now home to over 14 businesses. The first
sale was to Dana Corporation for their spicer axle plant in
1989.
Current building projects in the
Industrial Park include the construction of a new warehouse,
shop and offices for Cotner Electric and an office and freight
facility for Elfrink Transportation, both along Southern
Expressway. Kelsey said the new 48 unit Sundance apartment
complex is being built on property sold to them from the Six
Thirty developers which has been rezoned to accommodate the
project. Commercial land tracts are available from 1 to 25 acres
with all city services and commercial-industrial zoning.
