NEW COMPANIES TO CAPE GIRARDEAU
A flurry of commercial real estate
activity has resulted in two companies locating facilities in
Cape Girardeau according to Tom Kelsey, Broker for Lorimont
Place, Ltd. who handled the transactions. Miracle Supply
Company, Inc will locate in the former United Distributing
Building located at Kingshighway and Independence. The 14,000
square foot warehouse and showroom building will be used by the
St. Louis based company to establish a Cape Girardeau branch for
their wholesale plumbing, heating and industrial supply
operation. The company primarily distributes to plumbing and
mechanical contractors and has been servicing the Southeast
Missouri area for some time. Mike, Dattilo, Vice President of
the company said having a Cape location will allow them to
expand their services with new and existing customers in the
area. The company will employ 5-7 to begin with, according to
Dattilo. In other activity, Jade Manufactured Products has
recently started operations in the former General Sign Buildings
at Independence and Broadview. Kelsey, who also handled this
transaction, said the company would ultimately employ about 10
people and will occupy 33,500 square feet of manufacturing and
warehouse areas. Jade primarily cuts and forms foam products for
industrial customers. They were formerly located in Jackson.
Paul Guard, Sr. is President and Perry Guard, his son serves as
Vice President of the firm. Kelsey said he continues to work
with several other commercial and industrial prospects that are
seeking property for sale and lease in the area.
