MIDWEST AGRI CHEMICO RELOCATES OFFICES NEAR AIRPORT

Midwest
Agri Chemico, Inc. has purchased the former Nestle Purina
office building at 94 Airport Road, located near the Cape
Girardeau Regional Airport.
Tom Kelsey, commercial broker with Lorimont Place,
Ltd., who represented the sellers, Nestle Purina in the
recent sale, said he understood the Cape Girardeau based
company would utilize the 12,000 square-foot building for
their corporate operations and would relocate 25 employees
from their former offices at 4868 Nash Road.
The
company, owned by Russ Mothershead is involved in the
agricultural fertilizer industry and has locations in the
Southeast Missouri Port and on Nash Road.
Other operations are located at river locations in St.
Louis and Caruthersville, Missouri.
Midwest serves an agricultural chemical base of dealers
with a variety of products and services including dry and liquid
fertilizer products, barge unloading and complete bulk warehouse
storage facilities.
Delores Baker with Century 21 Ashland Realty represented
the buyer in the sale.
Kelsey
said the building was formerly used by Nestle Purina as their
operations offices for their Pet Care division. Nestle has
a large manufacturing facility between Bloomfield and Advance
that makes kitty litter products. All support operations
for this division were moved to Nestlé’s St. Louis offices,
creating the two available office properties.
He said his brokerage company also sold the adjacent
9,000 square-foot Nestle building at 126 Airport Road back in
the summer to NAB Automation, a new electronics business, who is
in full operation.
