RECYLING FIRM PURCHASES JACKSON WAREHOUSE

1900 Lee Avenue - Jackson, MO

One of Jackson’s largest industrial buildings, well over 103,000 square feet has sat vacant and idle for nearly a year and a half.  However, all that will change in the very near future according to Tom Kelsey, commercial broker with Lorimont Place, Ltd.  Kelsey confirmed the purchase of the former Rubbermaid distribution facility located at 1900 Lee Avenue in Jackson by ISI Environmental and Recycling, a division of Inter-Rail Systems.  As many as 60 new jobs could be created by the acquisition.

The 103,450 square foot warehouse & manufacturing facility located on 14 acres is owned by John & Barbara Popp and will be used by ISI primarily for their recycling operation. ISI is a full service recycling company, which offers solutions for a wide range of materials.  They work with their customers to find long term, solid economic solutions to manage waste and recyclable materials including paper, plastics, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, nylon, cardboard and ferrous and non-ferrous metals. They work with many businesses and communities throughout the region in their recycling programs including Proctor & Gamble and the City of Jackson.
