HOLT AGRIBUSINESS TO OPEN IN SIKESTON 

101 County Line Road, Sikeston, Missouri

Holt AgriBusiness will open a dealership at 101 County Line Road in Sikeston, Missouri according to Tom Kelsey, commercial broker with Lorimont Place, Ltd. who handled the recent real estate transaction.  Holt is a full service dealer for agricultural equipment sales, service, parts and rentals. They offer a full range of quality agricultural products, implements and special application machines.

Kelsey said the Texas based company purchased the former Medlin Equipment dealership property consisting of a 22,600 square-foot showroom and shop building located on 16 acres of land that fronts Highway 60 just west of the Interstate 55 and 57 intersection.  The property was leased by Medlin for several years and owned by Nelson Family Trust from Poplar Bluff.  No sales price was disclosed but the Lorimont website had a listed price of $1,200,000.

Kelsey said Holt; established in 1933 is the authorized Caterpillar heavy equipment and engine dealer for 118 counties in South, Central, North and East Texas. They sell, service and rent Cat equipment, engines and generators for construction, mining, industrial, petroleum and agricultural applications in multiple cities in Texas.  Holt sells Caterpillar used equipment worldwide and fabricates its own line of custom engineered products including root plows and water tankers. 

The Sikeston dealership will primarily be involved as an agribusiness branch, the newest of 10 dealerships in their system with 8 locations in Texas and one in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
