A-B Distributor Buys Warehouse

2027 Rust Avenue, Cape Girardeau, Missouri

The Anheuser-Busch Inc. wholesaler based in Cape Girardeau, River Eagle Distributing Company has purchased a new warehouse building at 2027 Rust Avenue in Cape Girardeau.  The 10,000 square-foot warehouse located almost directly across from their main distribution facility will be used to store several of its non-alcoholic product lines.

Tom Kelsey, commercial broker with Lorimont Place, Ltd. who handled the real estate transaction indicated the new purchasers would move into the newly acquired property right away. No sales price was disclosed but the Lorimont website indicated an asking price of $374,900. 

The local company, following the trend of A-B distributors nationwide has been progressively expanding into other beverage products.  In addition to all Anheuser-Busch products the wholesaler also distributes Dad’s Root Beer, Monster brand enhanced energy drinks, Taste of Florida mixers and Xing Teas.

Kelsey said the warehouse was previously used by Rust & Martin Furniture for off-site furniture and décor storage. He indicated his commercial real estate company had recently leased them a larger facility in the same general industrial area.
