Among those receiving the prestigious Realtor's
" Award of Excellence" designation for the year 2002 were Tom Kelsey, Broker for
Lorimont Place, Ltd. Recognition is given to those members who produce multi-million
dollar volume for Missouri property sold and leased during the year. Kelsey
qualified for the highest volume "Pinnacle Level" award, which is over $5
million dollars production in 12 months. His production was over
$8.5 million during 2002.
He was also a previous recipient of the outstanding sales
award since it's inception by the association for the years of 1996, 1997,1998,1999,
2000 and 2001.
Licensed in Missouri since 1975, he had also been designated by the real estate trade
group as a "Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Club" for multi million dollar
real estate production for five consecutive years.
Kelsey, who primarily handles commercial, industrial and
development properties has headed the Lorimont firm since 1993. Recent
transactions were the Cape Shoe Company, RM
Coco Design property, Southeast
Missouri Hospital West Campus property multi-million dollar
purchase, Cape Girardeau Albertson's
Grocery site, the former Florsheim Shoe factory sale,
the 12 acre site to the City of Cape Girardeau,
Charter Communication's recent property purchase in
Cape and other commercial sales and leases in the Southeast Missouri region.
The Cape broker oversees Lorimont's current development
projects include the Six Thirty Industrial Park (250 acre
industrial area home to 17 companies), Lorimont Place (a
90,500 sf business park), Warren Place (175 residential lot
subdivision) and Mount Auburn Business Park (12 acre
business/professional project), all located in the Cape Girardeau and immediate area.
In addition to their own developments, Lorimont, as a
commercial REALTOR also handles a signifigant number of client-owned properties and
commercial projects in the region. Kelsey said he is constantly seeking additional
commercial, industrial and development properties for prospective buyers and tenants he
works with.
Most recently he has launched and is also authoring an
internet based news and related resource site, tomkelsey.com,
focusing on commercial real estate and business news about the Southeast Missouri area.
