Over 32 acres of property has been purchased on
Highway 61 north in Jackson for a new mixed use development with plans
to incorporate commercial, duplexes and single-family sections. Tom
Kelsey, commercial broker with Lorimont Place, Ltd represented the
owners, Larry & Audrey Borgfield in the recent land sale.
Kelsey said Donker’s Inc. owned by Jerry Stoverink and Jason
Liley, who intend to develop the parcel, recently acquired the prime
Jackson acreage.
Kelsey said the land, which is from the Borgfield
farm fronts Highway 61, just north of the Deer Ridge Animal Hospital
located at 1807 N. High Street in Jackson.
With almost 500 feet of highway frontage on Highway 61, it is
likely the frontage portion of the property will be used for commercial
with the balance divided between duplex and residential.
Lorimont also represents the Borgfield’s in an
adjacent 38-acre
parcel along Highway 61 and just north of this acquired property.
It is being marketed for commercial or industrial use.
This acreage has over 1200 feet of highway frontage. The City of Jackson’s new industrial park is directly north
of this property.
Jerry Stoverink is a long-time Jackson builder,
real estate agent and developer who has been active in commercial and
residential projects in the Jackson area.
His latest residential development was Rosewood Subdivision
located near West Independence Street and N. Farmington Road in Jackson.
